he Society of Astrologers has a number of different ways
for members to interact with each other and keep apprised of developments in
traditional astrology. Through the
Society Network,
a Yahoo discussion group, members can have access to the very best traditional
astrologers through the Internet. By joining the Society Network anyone can become
an Associate member of the Society and read posts by top traditional
astrologers. The Society Network is 100% moderated and only Practicing members
of the Society may post on the Network in order to ensure the highest level of competence
and a courteous and collegial environment. All Society wide announcements, including
the availability of the Journal as well as lectures,
conferences and other Society activities, are made on the Society Network.
The Society hopes to be able to offer lectures on
traditional astrology, but since the Society has no paid staff and no officers
all work and all projects are accomplished by volunteers. If you are interested in
holding a lecture under the aegis of the Society please Contact
us.
The Society is currently planning its first
conference to take place in Manhattan, New York on Friday November 30 and Saturday,
December 1, 2007. The conference will center around several astrological magic
seminars and workships presented by William Stickevers and Christopher Warnock.
with the highlight the opportunity to participate in the creation and consecration
of a Jupiter talisman. If interest is shown and volunteers willing
to assume responsibility appear then additional seminars and lectures on other
areas of traditional astrology, including horary, natal, electional and mundane,
can be part of the conference. If you are interested in
assisting with the conference please Contact the Society.
Further details with regard to date, venue, cost and program will be posted here
and on the
Society Network.
